Taking a disabled veteran from Manatee Pocket towards the Crossroads.
"Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not."
                                                 Senator Robert F. Kennedy

“Some people see disabilities as barriers and say why.
We dreamed of solutions and said let's do it.”

What we do:In August, 2011, Dream Waves America was created as a 501(c)3 charity to provide free boat rides to veterans with severe injuries and others with serious disabilities and their care-giving families. We were providing these services on the calm, scenic waters of the South Fork of the St. Lucie River in Stuart, Florida.

Recently, executives at Facebook decided to use their well-recognized world-wide reach to assist non-profits in raising money for their charitable causes. This is great news for us at Dream Waves America. While our hearts were in the right place, we developed the same problem most small businesses experience; “Lack of proper and sustainable funding to achieve our goals”.Our charity, Dream Waves America, Inc. has just about run out of money! My neighbor and I have used up all of our available personal funds ($18,000 +/-)

Various sources put the minimum number of “Facebook” daily users at over 1.4 billion.
If only a tiny number (just 0.001% of 1.4 billion) were generous enough to contributed $16 each we could resume servicing veterans. We at Dream Waves understand that there are many worthy causes that the world is asked to fund. All are very important to any of the people affected. Several years ago, we at Dream Waves, chose to honor service men and women and others who cannot readily take part in recreational pleasures like boating because of mobility issues.
